(2017) \/ Z-View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2024\/z022224zview_tommy.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"741\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Tommy <\/strong><\/em>(2017)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Directors:\u00a0 <strong>Gentry Kirby, Erin Leyden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline: His Toughest Fight Was Outside the Ring<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Plot\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tommy Morrison rose from poverty and a broken home to co-star in <em>Rocky V<\/em>, and become a World Champion Boxer.\u00a0 Morrison was on top, but his inability to control his addiction to drugs, partying and women led to his downfall.\u00a0 Morrison made repeated comebacks, but sabotaged himself every time.\u00a0 Finally he received news that ended his career and ultimately his life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tommy Morrison&#8217;s story is a sad one.\u00a0 This is especially true since Morrison&#8217;s own behavior caused his downfall.\u00a0 I give him credit for his initial press conference when he announced he had HIV.\u00a0 Sadly, his behavior went south after that.\u00a0 He had a doctor give him bicep implants, he claimed he no longer had HIV and he began getting in trouble with the law (DUIs, drugs and weapons convictions, etc.).\u00a0 He continued to lie and cheat on the two women he truly loved him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tommy Morrison with better self-control could have had a career in boxing and maybe even movies or television.\u00a0 I thought it was funny that Tommy&#8217;s boxing nickname was &#8220;The Duke&#8221;
