Ben Templesmith<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stars: <strong>Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, Danny Huston, Ben Foster, Mark Boone Junior, Elizabeth Hawthorne and Nathaniel Lees<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline: <em>They&#8217;re Coming!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Plot&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The remote city of Barrow, Alaska, because of it&#8217;s location has a month of darkness once a year.\u00a0 Most of the city&#8217;s inhabitants leave.\u00a0 Those that stay have to live with &#8220;30 days of night&#8221;.\u00a0 This year they will also have to deal with a coven of vampires who have come to Barrow to feast!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Steve Niles conceived <em>30 Days of Night<\/em> as a graphic novel.\u00a0 Although he pitched the idea, there was no interest.\u00a0 Niles then reworked the idea and pitched <em>30 Days of Night<\/em> as a movie.\u00a0 Again there was no interest.\u00a0 Niles put the idea on the back-burner until a discussion at IDW Publishing brought <em>30 Days of Night<\/em> back from the, uh, dead.\u00a0 Niles and artist Ben Templesmith&#8217;s <em>30 Days of Night<\/em> comic was a hit.\u00a0 This led to several movie studios showing interest in adapting <em>30 Days of Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>A picture of Steve Niles can be seen in the attic hideout.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>30 Days of Night<\/em> does a great job of building suspense and ratcheting the tension as the vampires destroy Barlow&#8217;s ability to communicate with the outside world.\u00a0 Then we see vampire attacks to those on the outskirts of the city.\u00a0 The full-on attack of the city with the overhead shots of the mayhem is still a favorite scene.<\/p>\n<p>Danny Huston is amazing as Marlow the leader of the vampire coven.\u00a0 Kudos also to Ben Foster.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;
