Set in the 1970s, The Continental: From the World of John Wick\u00a0<\/em>details how young Winston Scott (Woodell) was pulled into the world of assassins and rose to become the director of The Continental.<\/p>\n

Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Continental: From the World of John Wick\u00a0<\/em>continues, as the title implies, the world-building of the John Wick movie franchise.\u00a0 It is stylish, action-packed with outrageous characters and a welcome addition.<\/p>\n

I loved the opening titles which reminded me of the opening credits to Casino Royale<\/em> (2006).<\/p>\n

The Continental: From the World of John Wick\u00a0<\/em>features a sweet soundtrack from the 1970s.<\/p>\n

In the third episode, KD checks into The Continental.\u00a0 She is given room 818, which is the same room John Wick gets in the first movie.<\/p>\n

Kirk Ward plays a creepy huge thug to the hilt.\u00a0 Short white hair, skintight sleeveless t-shirt, a kilt, heavy workboots and black eye makeup make for a scary appearance.\u00a0 Add in his caresses and loving pats to the man he’s about to torture and you have one sick, memorable henchman.<\/p>\n

Let’s not forget Katie McGrath as The Adjudicator.\u00a0 She wears a half-mask that covers something so grotesque that it sickens those who get a glance behind the covering.\u00a0 Oh, and what about the strange assassins known as The Twins aka Hansel (Musashi) and Gretal (Mazepa).<\/p>\n

Mel Gibson adds gravitas.<\/p>\n

I hope we get more adventures in this world.<\/p>\n
