The Overview:\u00a0 Beware of Spoilers\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Five years ago life was good.\u00a0 Arjun Kadam was happily married.\u00a0 He was a cop with a bright future.\u00a0 Kadam was personally selected by the Chief to join the Mumbai Encounter Squad.\u00a0 The squad was a strike force authorized to use whatever force necessary<\/em> to take down the worst criminals.<\/p>\n

But that was then.<\/p>\n

After Kadam’s wife died, things began to spiral.\u00a0 The Squad was crossing lines in the name of justice that were questionable at best.\u00a0 Then a hit and run driver put Kadam in a coma and killed the little girl he was talking with.<\/p>\n

Now Kadam has recovered. He’s no longer a cop.\u00a0 Kadam’s dealing with depression and drug dependency.\u00a0 The thing that keeps Kadam going is his determination to find the little girl’s killer.<\/p>\n

Kadam’s journey will take him from slums and back alleys to the richest Bollywood nightclubs.\u00a0 As Kadam digs deeper into the Mumbai Underworld the difference between gangsters and cops becomes blurred.\u00a0 No longer a cop, Kadam is on his own.\u00a0 Survival is unlikely when mobsters and out of control cops want you dead.<\/p>\n

Arjun Kadam doesn’t care.\u00a0 He’s going to take them all down… or die trying.<\/p>\n

If you’re a fan of noir, The Shield<\/em>, and 100 Bullets<\/em>, then MUMBAI CONFIDENTIAL is for you.\u00a0 Featuring a non-linear storyline and wonderful art, it reads like a novel.\u00a0 Saurav Mohapatra has the tough guy dialogue down.\u00a0 Vivek Shinde’s art compliments the story with his exciting visuals and muted colors.\u00a0 (It was originally conceived to be done in ink wash.)<\/p>\n

As the story unfolds we get interludes by different artists that take us deeper in the world of MUMBAI CONFIDENTIAL.\u00a0 I found the different art styles interesting and added to my enjoyment of the main storyline. The interludes are…<\/p>\n
