(2023) directed by Robert Rodriguez, starring Ben Affleck, Alice Braga &amp; William Fichtner \/ Z-View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2024\/z100924zview_hypnotic.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"739\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><i><b>Hypnotic<\/b><\/i><\/em>\u00a0(2023)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Director: <strong>Robert Rodriguez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Screenplay: <strong>Robert Rodriguez, Max Borenstein<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stars: <strong>Ben Affleck, Alice Braga, JD Pardo<\/strong><strong>, Jeff Fahey, William Fichtner, Zane Holtz, Ruben Javier Caballero, Ryan Ryusaki\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Jackie Earle Haley.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline: <em>Control is an illusion.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Plot&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Detective Danny Rourke (Affleck) is on a stakeout with a response team.\u00a0 They had received a tip on the robbery of bank safe deposit boxes.\u00a0 Through their monitors they see a suspicious well dressed man.\u00a0 They will learn later his name is Lev Dellrayne (Fichtner).\u00a0 Dellrayne speaks to a woman waiting for a bus.\u00a0 As he walks away the woman begins stripping.\u00a0 The disrobing woman causes a commotion including vehicles crashing into each other.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dellrayne then speaks to two police officers.\u00a0 They turn and walk into the bank following Dellrayne&#8217;s commands.\u00a0 Within seconds, Dellrayne gets into the safe deposit box area, opens the targeted box and escapes.\u00a0 He appears to just disappear.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Detective Rourke checks out the open safe deposit box.\u00a0 The only thing left inside is a photo of Rourke&#8217;s daughter Minnie.\u00a0 Minnie has been missing for three years since she was kidnapped.\u00a0 <em>&#8220;Find Lev Dellrayne&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>is written on the photo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Obviously his daughter&#8217;s kidnapping and the robbery are linked.\u00a0 If Rourke can capture Dellrayne, there is a chance he will find his daughter alive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rourke has no idea what he is about to learn.\u00a0 Nothing is as it seems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rouke visits a BBQ joint called <em>The<\/em> <em>Bone Shack<\/em>.\u00a0 The restaurant has the same name and logo of a BBQ eatery featured in <em>Planet Terror<\/em> (also directed by Robert Rodriguez).\u00a0 In <em>Planet Terror<\/em>, Jeff Fahey played the owner of <em>The Bone Shack<\/em>.\u00a0 Although Fahey appears in <em>Hypnotic<\/em>, he isn&#8217;t the owner of this <em>Bone Shack<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to watch the credits, there is a scene that changes the ending!<\/p>\n<p>I could see <em>Hypnotic<\/em> as a limited or on-going television series.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit;
