Yesterday it was announced that John Amos died of natural causes on on August 21, 2024, at the age of 84.<\/p>\n
John Amos graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in sociology.\u00a0 While in college, Mr. Amos played football and was a Golden Gloves boxer.\u00a0 After graduating college, John Amos played semi-pro football.\u00a0 He was signed as a free agent by the Denver Broncos but an injury on the second day of training camp brought about his release.\u00a0 He went back to semi-pro ball.\u00a0 Three years later Mr. Amos was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs, but was cut before the season began.<\/p>\n
