The Plot…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Frankie Madison (Lancaster) and Noll Turner (Douglas) were best friends and bootlegging partners.\u00a0 It was 50-50 right down the line.\u00a0 On their last run, they got into a gunfight with thieves who attempted to hijack their load.\u00a0 The noise brought the police.\u00a0 Deciding it was best to split up, Frankie stayed with the truck of bootleg hooch, and Noll split.<\/p>\n

Frankie was caught, convicted and sent to prison.\u00a0 That was 14 years ago.<\/p>\n

While Frankie was in prison, Noll took the money he and Frankie had, and invested it in a bar.\u00a0 He then sold the bar to buy a better nightclub.\u00a0 It took work, but Noll built it into an exclusive hotspot.\u00a0 Noll became very rich.<\/p>\n

Now that Frankie’s out, he’s ready to join Noll.\u00a0 They’d\u00a0 always agreed that everything would be 50-50.\u00a0 Frankie never ratted out Noll.\u00a0 Frankie did the time.\u00a0 He and Noll were best friends and business partners.\u00a0 Noll would never double cross Frankie.<\/p>\n

Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster made seven movies together.\u00a0 This is the first.<\/p>\n

Eddie Muller called I Walk Alone<\/em> a landmark crime film because it marked the first time movie outlaws moved from working outside the system to becoming legitimate operators working within the system.<\/p>\n
