Friday night I watched my dvd extras for “The Mist”<\/strong><\/a> and was surprised to see Eric “The Goon” Powell <\/strong>on set with Frank Darabont<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 I’ve been an Eric Powell fan for years.<\/strong><\/a> So has Frank Darabont<\/strong>.\u00a0 In fact, Eric Powell did <\/strong>one of my favorite Stallone pieces<\/strong><\/a> [thanks again, John Higashi<\/strong>!].<\/p>\n

Eric’s work<\/strong> on his creation, The Goon<\/strong> is required reading for all comic fans.\u00a0 And since we’re speaking of The Goon<\/strong> [okay, technically we’re not speaking and I am writing, but…} did you know that Eric<\/strong> has created an issue of The Goon<\/strong> without word balloons?\u00a0 The entire comic is made up of silent panels or just shots with thought balloons.\u00a0 The story involves the Goon, a stolen necklace, a fem fatale and a crazy killer<\/strong>… oh, and no word balloons.\u00a0 Sounds cool, right?\u00a0 You can read more about it, here at CBR.com<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
