Johnson Jr., Samuel Roukin, Eric C. Sun, Faye Tamasa <\/strong>and Craig Ng.<\/strong><\/p>\n Tagline: None.<\/p>\n The Plot…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n River (Madison) is a young single parent of a cute 5 year old girl named Jade.\u00a0 When River is caught with weed, the two arresting cops offer her a chance to walk if she will serve as their confidential informant.\u00a0 All River has to do is wear a wire to a buy from a major dealer named Silas (G-Eazy).\u00a0 No one has been able to get close to Silas, but River has an “in”.<\/p>\n Silas got River high when she was sixteen then took advantage of her.\u00a0 Silas is Jade’s father, although he’s never had any contact with her.\u00a0 River cut all ties to Silas when she discovered she was pregnant.<\/p>\n Concerned that if she doesn’t set up Silas, the cops will go forward with charges.\u00a0 She would go to jail and Jade would become a ward of the state.\u00a0 River (and the cops) know Silas will kill her if it is discovered she is wearing a wire.\u00a0 The cops promise they’ll be right there and rush in when the deal is done.\u00a0 Then River will be able to walk away free and clear.<\/p>\n Feeling she has no choice, River takes the deal.<\/p>\n As with the best laid plans, things go sideways…<\/p>\n Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n I’m surprised that All Souls isn’t a better known film.\u00a0 It is well done from top to bottom.\u00a0 Kudos to writer Anthony Ragnone II, and director Emmanuelle Pickett.\u00a0 They’ve created a story that feels and looks like it could be taking place in any town’s drug area.<\/p>\n Mikey Madison is amazing in this role.\u00a0 I’d never seen her before, but she is definitely an actress to watch.
