Eighty miles an hour good time.\u00a0 Suddenly a scantily clad woman runs across the road.\u00a0 McGee is able to avoid hitting her but his car goes off the road.\u00a0 It hits hard and begins sinking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">McGee and Meyer are bruised and battered but nothing is broken.\u00a0 They make it out and to the shore.\u00a0 Then watch as the car sinks in swamp water.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With no options but to walk to the nearest town, they begin their trek.\u00a0 There&#8217;s little hope of a passing car so late at night on a deserted road.\u00a0 McGee and Meyer are happy to see a truck with a burly driver approaching.\u00a0 They feel their luck has turned.<\/p>\n<p>Then the driver starts shooting at them.<\/p>\n<p>+++<\/p>\n<p>THE LONG LAVENDER LOOK features Travis McGee at his best.\u00a0 (John D.
