Director:\u00a0 Rob Bowman<\/strong><\/p>\n Screenplay: Gregg Chabot, Kevin Peterka, Matt Greenberg; <\/strong>story by Gregg Chabot, Kevin Peterka<\/strong><\/p>\n Stars: Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale<\/strong>, Izabella Scorupco, David Kennedy, Tagline: Fight Fire With Fire<\/em><\/p>\n The Plot…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n In 2002, workers drilling in the London Underground opened a passage into an undiscovered cave.\u00a0 A gigantic dragon awoke.\u00a0 Soon it and other dragons emerged.\u00a0 In short order, cities and the people living in them were destroyed.\u00a0 A young boy named Quinn witnessed the first dragon emerging from the underground when it killed his mother.<\/p>\n 2020.\u00a0 Most of the world’s population is long gone.\u00a0 The few survivors have banded together in small communities.\u00a0 Quinn is now a leader of a group that took refuge in Bamburgh Castle.\u00a0 The group is barely hanging on.\u00a0 The food supply is low. Crops won’t come to harvest for a few weeks.\u00a0 A dragon recently attacked and destroyed part of the crop when it attacked and killed a community member.<\/p>\n Quinn and the community are shocked when a heavily armored military squad pulls up to the castle entrance.\u00a0 They request entrance.\u00a0 The convoy contains a tank, a helicopter and many armed soldiers.\u00a0 The leader of the troop is Van Zan.\u00a0 Quinn isn’t sure if the new arrivals are true military or raiders looking to steal whatever they can.\u00a0 One thing Quinn knows is his community has no chance in a firefight.<\/p>\n He allows them in.\u00a0 Soon all hell will break loose.<\/p>\n Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n Bale did an excellent job in his role but McConaughey OWNED every scene he was in.
