Cornette, Bruce Prichard, Earl Hebner, Vince Russo, Ric Flair, Ted DiBiase, Owen Hart, Mick Foley, Tony Atlas, Kevin Von Erich, Abdullah the Butcher <\/strong>and <strong>Dave Meltzer<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline: None.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Plot&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each episode of <em>Dark Side of the Ring<\/em> profiles a professional wrestler or event that has become infamous among professional wrestling insiders.\u00a0 Interviews with those who were there, archival footage and reenactments are used in each episode.<\/p>\n<p>Ep. 1: <em>The Match Made in Heaven<\/em>.\u00a0 Randy <em>The Macho Man<\/em> Savage was one of the most popular wrestlers of his time.\u00a0 When he brought on <em>Miss Elizabeth<\/em> as his manager, his popularity went even higher.\u00a0 Elizabeth became as popular as Savage.\u00a0 Maybe more so.\u00a0 They were in love both in the wrestling world and real-life.\u00a0 But there was no <em>happily- ever-after<\/em> in their future.\u00a0 No, their love would end in tragedy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ep. 2: <em>The Montreal Screwjob<\/em>.\u00a0 There was a long pro wrestling tradition that a champion who was retiring, or leaving a territory, would lose the title before going. Bret <em>The Hitman Hart<\/em> was the WWF Champion. Hart was leaving the WWF to go to the WCW.\u00a0 Vince McMahon, owner of the WWF, was worried that Hart would break tradition and take the title with him.\u00a0 So behind the scenes McMahon created a plan to make sure the championship belt didn&#8217;t leave with Hart.\u00a0 McMahon&#8217;s conspiracy became known as the <em>The Montreal Screwjob<\/em>.\u00a0 It changed the face of professional wrestling forever.\u00a0 Now there was no doubt that backstage decisions determined in-ring outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ep. 3: The<em> Killing of Bruiser Brody<\/em>.\u00a0 <em>Bruiser Brody<\/em> was intimidating.\u00a0 He stood 6&#8217;8&#8243; and weighed 300 pounds.\u00a0 Brody had the reputation of being contentious.\u00a0 What made it worse was Brody was often out of control.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t an act.\u00a0 Brody frequently argued with fellow wrestlers and promoters.\u00a0 While wrestling in Puerto Rico, Brody got into a locker room argument with Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez, better known as<em> Invader 1<\/em>.\u00a0 Before the night was over Brody lay dying in the shower the result of stab wounds from Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ep. 4: <em>The Last of the Von Erichs<\/em>.\u00a0 <em>Fritz Von Erich<\/em> (real name Jack Adkisson) was a popular wrestling villain.\u00a0 Von Erich had six sons.\u00a0 His first child was killed in a freak accident at the age of six. The five other sons all grew up to become professional wrestlers.\u00a0 Sadly, four of the five would die at a very young age.\u00a0 Three from suicide.\u00a0 Many said the family was cursed.\u00a0 The only surviving son discusses the family legacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ep. 5: <em>The Mysterious Death of Gorgeous Gino<\/em>. Gino Hernandez was a wrestling star on the rise.\u00a0 He got over in every territory.\u00a0 The fame and money was starting to come.\u00a0 Unfortunately Gino got mixed up with the wrong crowd and he was using drugs.\u00a0 When friends became concerned and busted into his apartment, they found his decomposing body.\u00a0 Did Gino overdose?\u00a0 Was he murdered?\u00a0 The autopsy report was full of errors.\u00a0 His family never saw his body.\u00a0 Did Gino fake his own death?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ep. 6: <em>The Fabulous Moolah<\/em>.\u00a0 Mary Lillian Ellison better known as <em>The Fabulous Moolah<\/em> was the first woman to be inducted in the <em>WWF Hall of Fame<\/em>.\u00a0 She holds the record as longest reigning champion in combination of all of her reigns.\u00a0 She held the title on and off for 28 years!\u00a0 <em>Moolah<\/em> was also THE booker and promoter for women wrestlers across the country.\u00a0 This is where he reputation goes off the rails.
