The Plot\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\nA spacecraft is discovered on the ocean floor under 300 years of coral growth. A team of the best minds in their field was formed. U.S. Navy Captain Harold Barnes will lead the squad that includes astrophysicist Dr. Ted Fielding, psychologist Dr. Norman Goodman, marine biologist Dr. Beth Halperin and mathematician Dr. Harry Adams.<\/p>\n
As the team goes down, a vicious storm approaches topside.\u00a0 Communication will be lost until the weather clears.<\/p>\n
The exploration team is surprised to discover that the spacecraft appears to be American.\u00a0 Further, a huge sphere of unknown make-up is in the craft.\u00a0 It reflects everything in the room except the people.<\/p>\n
The team returns to their craft to recharge.\u00a0 They are surprised when their computers begin to display encoded messages.\u00a0 Once deciphered the communication appears to be coming from the sphere.\u00a0 Everything the crew says or does is known by the sphere.\u00a0 While they wait for the storm topside to clear, strange things begin happening.\u00a0 And one member of the crew doesn’t seem to be himself.<\/p>\n
And then things go really bad…<\/p>\n
Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\nSphere<\/em> is an interesting film right up until the final resolution.\u00a0 THAT killed it for me.<\/p>\nDustin Hoffman was reportedly disappointed in the film.\u00a0 He felt that some issues could have been corrected had the film not have a hard release date.<\/p>\n
