color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The film was originally supposed to reteam Robert Downey, Jr. and writer\/director Shane Black.\u00a0 They had worked together before on <em>Kiss Kiss Bang Ban<\/em>g.\u00a0 When Downey dropped out, Mark Wahlberg was chosen to replace him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Play Dirty<\/em> is the fifth movie adaptation of Richard Stark&#8217;s Parker character.\u00a0 The other films are: <em>Point Blank<\/em> (1967) starring Lee Marvin;
