This month’s Previews<\/strong> featured a full page ad for a new printing of Steranko’s<\/strong> classic Chandler: Red Tide<\/strong>.\u00a0 Originally published in 1976<\/strong>, Chandler: Red Tide<\/strong> is sometimes referred to as the first graphic novel<\/strong>.\u00a0 At the time it was published, Steranko<\/strong> called it an illustrated novel<\/strong>.\u00a0 I think a more accurate description is the one used by Dark Horse<\/strong> in the press release:<\/p>\n
