6-8)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ian Brennan<\/strong> (eps. 4-5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Teleplay by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>(eps. 1-8) <strong>Ian Brennan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stars: <strong>Charlie Hunnam, Suzanna Son, Vicky Krieps, Laurie Metcalf, Tom Hollander<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline:\u00a0 None.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Plot\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ed Gein was a murderer and grave robber.\u00a0 In 1957, when a sheriff&#8217;s deputy, following up on a missing person&#8217;s case went to Gein&#8217;s farm he discovered the missing woman&#8217;s decapitated body in a shed.\u00a0 The partial corpse was hung upside down and mutilated.\u00a0 In Gein&#8217;s house some of what authorities found included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whole human bones and fragments<\/li>\n<li>A wastebasket made of human skin<\/li>\n<li>Human skin covering several chairs<\/li>\n<li>Human skulls mounted on bedposts<\/li>\n<li>Bowls made from human skulls<\/li>\n<li>A corset made from a female torso skinned from shoulders to waist<\/li>\n<li>Leggings made from human leg skin<\/li>\n<li>Masks made from the skin of female heads<\/li>\n<li>A victim&#8217;s face made into a mask in a paper bag<\/li>\n<li>A victim&#8217;s entire head in a burlap sack<\/li>\n<li>A victim&#8217;s heart in a plastic bag<\/li>\n<li>A belt made from female human nipples<\/li>\n<li>A pair of lips on a window shade drawstring<\/li>\n<li>A lampshade made from the skin of a human face<br \/>\n<sup id=\"cite_ref-FOOTNOTEGollmar198125_35-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><\/li>\n<li>more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gein was determined to be mentally incompetent to stand trial.\u00a0 He was sentenced to a State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, where he lived until his death in 1984.\u00a0 Ed Gein&#8217;s murders and depravity inspired the novel (and later movie) <em>Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> and more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Charlie Hunnam is almost unrecognizable as Ed Gein.\u00a0 Kudos to him for taking on such a challenging role.\u00a0 Laurie Metcalf is perfect as Gein&#8217;s mother.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I wish <em>Monster: The Ed Gein Story<\/em> stuck closer to actual events.\u00a0 Liberties are taken that I feel weaken the story.\u00a0 For example, Gein never had a love interest.\u00a0 Gein never chased down and killed lost hunters with a chain saw.\u00a0 Gein never had contact with Christine Jorgensen, an American actress famous for being known as the first transexual widely known in the United States.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Because of these fictional additions, it makes me question things when other real life personalitites, like Anthony Perkins and Alfred Hitchcock show up.\u00a0 I realize <em>Monster: The Ed Gein Story<\/em> isn&#8217;t a documentary.\u00a0 But it is supposed to be Gein&#8217;s story and that was creepy enough.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Monster: The Ed Gein Story<\/strong><\/em> (2025) rates 3 of 5 stars.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_c.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2025\/z112425zview_edgein2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monster: The Ed Gein Story (2025) Created by: Ian Brennan Directed by: Max Winkler\u00a0(eps. 1-3;
