Caught Stealing <\/strong><\/em>(2025)<\/p>\n Director: Darren Aronofsky<\/strong><\/p>\n Screenplay: Charlie Huston; <\/strong>based on CAUGHT STEALING<\/a> by Charlie Huston<\/strong><\/p>\n Stars: Austin Butler<\/strong>, Regina King, Zo\u00eb Kravitz, Matt Smith, Griffin Dunne, Shaun O’Hagan, Action Bronson, Matt Smith, Nikita Kukushkin, Yuri Kolokolnikov, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Oleg Prudius, Liev Schreiber, Benito Martinez Ocasio, Bad Bunny, Carol Kane <\/strong>and Vincent D’Onofrio.<\/strong><\/p>\n Tagline: 2 Russians, 2 Jews and a Puerto Rican walk into a bar…<\/em><\/p>\n The Plot…<\/strong><\/p>\n Henry “Hank” Thompson was a baseball phenom headed to the big leagues straight out of high school.\u00a0 Then a tragic auto accident left a friend dead and Hank with a career-ending injury.\u00a0 A career that never even had a chance to get started.<\/p>\n That was ten years ago. 1988.\u00a0 Now Hank is a New York City bartender.\u00a0 He drinks too much, lacks real ambition, and still loves The San Francisco Giants.\u00a0 Oh, Hank also loves Yvonne.\u00a0 She’s a positive influence and it looks like they may have a future.\u00a0 Life is good.\u00a0 Except for his nightmares about the car crash. What could have been and what was.<\/p>\n Still, with Yvonne, life is on the right track.<\/p>\n When Hank’s neighbor, Russ Miner has to leave for a few days to visit his hospitalized father, Hank is talked into taking care of Russ’ cat.\u00a0 It isn’t long after, that two Russian mobsters show up.\u00a0 They’re looking for Russ.\u00a0 When Hank cannot give the thugs the answers they want, they beat Hank nearly to death.<\/p>\n Detective Elise Roman questions Hank. She thinks he’s withholding information.\u00a0 He’s not.\u00a0 Detective Roman informs Hank that the Russians are dangerous.
