color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When Burt Reynolds was offered the chance to go to Italy to film <em>Navajo Joe<\/em>, he reached out to Clint Eastwood.\u00a0 Eastwood had achieved fame for <em>A Fistful of Dollars<\/em> and <em>A Few Dollars More<\/em>.\u00a0 Eastwood said it was a good experience and raved about director Sergio Leone.\u00a0 Reynolds thought <em>Navajo Joe<\/em> was going to be directed by Sergio Leone.\u00a0 He was mistaken.\u00a0 The director was Sergio Corbucci.\u00a0 Reynolds tried to walk away, but the contracts had already been signed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To make matters worse, Corbucci thought Marlon Brando was going to be the star of the film.\u00a0 Needless to say, Reynolds and Corbucci didn&#8217;t get along.\u00a0 Making the film wasn&#8217;t a fun experience for either man.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Burt Reynolds said in interviews it was the worst professional experience he ever had and &#8220;the film was only shown in prisons and airplanes because the audience couldn&#8217;t leave.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Who am I to argue with Burt Reynolds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em><strong>Navajo Joe <\/strong><\/em>(1966) rates 2 of 5 stars.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_d.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z030926zview_navajojoe2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"395\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Navajo Joe (1966) Director: Sergio Corbucci Screenplay: Piero Regnoli, Fernando di Leo;
