LIMPET by Theodore Pratt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stars: <strong>Don Knotts, Carole Cook, Jack Weston, Andrew Duggan <\/strong>and<strong> Paul Frees <\/strong>(voice).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline: <em>The man who turned into a fish&#8230; and became America&#8217;s deadliest secret weapon!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Plot&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">War War II rages.\u00a0 Henry Limpett, a mild-mannered bookkeeper, would love nothing more than to enlist and help the war effort.\u00a0 Each time Henry&#8217;s tried he&#8217;s been rejected due to his many health issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Henry, his wife and his best friend George go to Coney Island for the day.\u00a0 As Henry is looking down into the ocean water, he falls.\u00a0 Henry can&#8217;t swim so George dives in to save him.\u00a0 Despite several attempts, George is unable to find Henry.\u00a0 Everyone believes Henry has drowned.<\/p>\n<p>But he hasn&#8217;t.\u00a0 Somehow Henry Limpet has turned into a fish!\u00a0 Even more amazing as a fish, Henry has a power that may help turn the tide of the war!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The film moves from live action to animation once Limpet turns into a fish.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s funny how much the fish looks like Don Knotts &#8212; or is it how much he looks like a fish?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I saw the film when it was first released.
