Creasey became a shell of his former self.\u00a0 He left the CIA.\u00a0 No he drinks too much and suffers from PTSD.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paul Rayburn, a friend of Creasey&#8217;s, owns a security company.\u00a0 Rayburn flies Creasey to Brazil to offer him a job.\u00a0 While Creasey considers the opportunity, he re-bonds with Rayburn, his wife and their two children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tragedy strikes when a terrorist group blows up the building where Rayburn and his family live.\u00a0 Rayburn, his wife and son are three of the approximately six hundred killed in the explosion.\u00a0 Rayburn&#8217;s daughter Poe, wasn&#8217;t in the building when it detonated. She saw one of the terrorists.\u00a0 Worse still, he saw her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Poe becomes a target of the terrorists.\u00a0 Creasey now has something to live for &#8211; to protect Poe and get revenge for the murder of his friends and 600 others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thoughts&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I like that <em>Man on Fire<\/em> didn&#8217;t play out the exact same plot as the excellent <em>Man on Fire<\/em> movie directed by Tony Scott, starring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is the third adaptation of AJ Quinnell&#8217;s MAN ON FIRE novel.\u00a0 The first was the 1987 film <em>Man on Fire<\/em> starring Scott Glenn as John Creasey.\u00a0 The second was the 2004 <em>Man on Fire<\/em> movie starring Denzel Washington.<\/p>\n<p>A.J.
