The Plot…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Will Randall, Editor-in-Chief of a large New York publishing company, is driving a country road late one night when he hits something.\u00a0 It appears to be a large dog. Will gets out to check on the animal. It turns out to be an injured wolf.\u00a0 The beast bites Will before running into the woods.<\/p>\n

Not long after Will learns that the publishing house has been bought out by Raymond Alden.\u00a0 Alden doesn’t know anything about book publishing. But he knows how to make money.\u00a0 So Will isn’t surprised to learn he’s been demoted. Stuart Swinton, his young former prot\u00e9g\u00e9, is now his boss.\u00a0 Swinton’s attitude changes overnight from smarmy to condesending.<\/p>\n

As Will’s wolf bite heals, he feels reinergized.\u00a0 Colors seem more vivid.\u00a0 Smells stronger.\u00a0 As Will’s body improves so does his confidence.\u00a0 Will visits Raymond Alden at his home.\u00a0 There Will meets Alden’s adult daughter.\u00a0 Will is much older than she can’t deny the attraction.<\/p>\n

Will knows the wolf bite is causing the changes.\u00a0 Each day he’s becoming more aggressive and animalistic.\u00a0 He worries the changes won’t stop.\u00a0 What then?<\/p>\n

The animal is out.<\/p>\n

Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wolf<\/i> features Allison Janney’s feature film debut.<\/p>\n

David Schwimmer appears as a cop in a very small role.\u00a0 Just a few months later he would become a breakout star thanks to his role on Friends<\/em>.<\/p>\n

When werewolf movies are discussed, Wolf<\/em> almost never is brought up.\u00a0 Interesting to note that the word werewolf is never used in the film either.<\/p>\n

I found Wolf<\/em> to be better than most folks do. As always your mileage may vary.<\/p>\n

Wolf<\/em> presents an interesting take on becoming a werewolf.\u00a0 Usually the person bitten feels changing is a curse.\u00a0 Nicholson’s character enjoys the changes… at least at first.<\/p>\n

Spader<\/em> is so good at playing someone easy to dislike.<\/p>\n
