The Plot…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Nathan Detroit is feeling the pressure.<\/p>\n

Detroit is supposed to put together a huge crap game.\u00a0 Word went out.\u00a0 The town is gonna be full of high rollers and Nathan needs to deliver.\u00a0 Complicating matters are three things.\u00a0 One: New York City’s finest, Lieutenant Brannigan, is watching Nathan like a hawk.\u00a0 First sign of an illegal game and he plans to bust Nathan and all involved.\u00a0 Two: Nathan still needs a location.\u00a0 Three: Nathan’s fianc\u00e9e, Miss Adelaide, is pressuring him to marry her — their 14 year engagement is just too long.<\/p>\n

Nathan finds the perfect location.\u00a0 Problem is the location’s owner wants $1,000.00 for the property’s use.\u00a0 Nathan doesn’t have the needed dough.<\/p>\n

Then he gets an idea.\u00a0 Sky Masterson is in town to gamble.\u00a0 Sky will be on anything.\u00a0 If Nathan can get Sky to bet $1,000 on a bet Sky’s sure to lose, Nathan will have the needed cash.<\/p>\n

But what is a sure fire bet?<\/p>\n

Nathan comes up with the perfect wager.\u00a0 Sky is a known lady’s man and proud of his reputation.\u00a0 Nathan gets Sky to say he could get any woman to go out on a date with him.\u00a0 Nathan then wagers that if he can pick the woman, Sky would fail to get her to go with him to dinner in Havanna.\u00a0 Sky agrees to the wager.<\/p>\n

Nathan picks Sarah Brown.\u00a0 Sarah happens to be very straight laced and a sister in the Save a Soul Mission.\u00a0 Sarah runs the local chapter.<\/p>\n

Sky wants to con Sarah.\u00a0 Sarah wants to “save” Sky.\u00a0 \u00a0Nathan wants towin the bet so the big craps game is a go.\u00a0 Miss Adelaide wants to get married.\u00a0 Lieutenant Brannigan wants to arrest the whole lot of ’em.<\/p>\n

There’s no way everyone is going to get what they want.\u00a0 Wanna bet?<\/p>\n
