MacDonald&#8217;s novel THE EXECUTIONERS, as well as the two movie adaptations of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There&#8217;s a definite attempt to give this adaptation a <em>Hitchcock-feel<\/em> from the way some of the scenes are shot to the soundtrack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am a huge fan of the <em>Cape Fear<\/em> movies.\u00a0 I believe the series suffers because it&#8217;s hard to root for the Bowden family, because they are so unlikeable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bardem had big shoes to fill, following Robert Mitchum and Robert DeNiro.\u00a0 He does an admirable job.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ron Perlman has a small but important role.\u00a0 He&#8217;s a welcome addition to the cast.\u00a0 Same could be said for CCH Pounder, Jamie Hector and Juliette Lewis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit; color: initial;\"><strong><i>Cape Fear: Season 1 <\/i>(2026)<\/strong> rates 3 of 5 stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_c.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z090126review_capefear_s1a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"228\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cape Fear: Season 1 (2026) Created by: Nick Antosca;\u00a0based on THE EXECUTIONERS by John D.
