{"id":42654,"date":"2026-09-05T07:18:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T11:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=42654"},"modified":"2026-09-03T11:31:06","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T15:31:06","slug":"jack-carter-john-wick-by-steven-sanchez-from-prelim-to-finished-art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=42654","title":{"rendered":"Jack Carter\/John Wick by Steven Sanchez &#8211; From Prelim to Finished Art!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z050926carter_wick_sanchez_finished.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"638\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sketchartofsanchez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steven Sanchez<\/a> announced that he was taking on double headsketch commissions, I jumped on board.\u00a0 As you can see I requested Sly Stallone as Jack Carter (from <em>Get Carter<\/em>) and Keanu Reeves as John Wick.\u00a0 I couldn&#8217;t be happier with Sanchez&#8217;s finished art.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z090526lockup_wick_sanchez.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"687\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What made it even cooler is that Sanchez sent a prelim rough for approval.\u00a0 In the rough he used a photo from<em> Lock Up<\/em> for Stallone reference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z090526carter_wick_sanchez_1st.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"703\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I pointed out that I wanted Stallone as Jack Carter and Sanchez made the change with a new prelim for approval.\u00a0 He then created the prelim piece above.\u00a0 I loved it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z090526carter_wick_sanchez_2nd.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"715\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sanchez then moved on to another marker prelim before tackling the finished pencil art.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is my second commission from Steven Sanchez.
