David Lapham is an Eisner Award-winning\u200b comic book creator best known for his independent crime series Stray Bullets<\/em>.\u00a0 When Lapham offered a headsketch special, I jumped on board for two.<\/p>\n

Lampham again quickly responded that he was up for both.\u00a0 I immediately sent a paypal for the amount requested and a few bucks more.\u00a0 He emailed a “thank you” and that was the last I heard from him for four years.<\/p>\n

Every so often, for the first couple of years, I sent an e-mail to see if he was okay or going to do the sketches.\u00a0 No response ever came back.\u00a0 Then in February of this year, I was surprised to get an e-mail from Mr. Lapham apologizing for his lack of communication.\u00a0 He said that he wanted to get the art to me.\u00a0 This week (six months later) the sketches arrived.\u00a0 The first sketch was Sly Stallone as Jack Carter<\/a>.\u00a0 This is the second, Sly as Rocky.<\/p>\n

I don’t know what the hold-up was.\u00a0 I’m just happy to have the sketches and hope Mr. Lapham is doing well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
