So did the diamonds.\u00a0 Rabbit still wants both&#8230; and revenge on the man.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The man heads to Banshee, a small town in Pennsylvania.\u00a0 He expects to find Ana and the diamonds waiting for him.\u00a0 He finds Ana.\u00a0 She&#8217;s taken on a new identity as Carrie Hopewell.\u00a0 The new identity was expected.\u00a0 Her married to the town&#8217;s D.A. with two children was not.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ex-con can&#8217;t believe it.\u00a0 Ana moved on, got married and had kids.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ex-con ends up\u00a0 in a small bar on the outskirts of town.\u00a0 He&#8217;s drinking a beer with Sugar, the bar&#8217;s owner when another man comes in.\u00a0 The man introduces himself as Josh Hood.\u00a0 He&#8217;s soon to be sworn in as the new sheriff of Banshee.\u00a0 Turns out Hood was hired over the phone and hasn&#8217;t met anyone yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the three men are talking two hoods bust in to rob the bar.\u00a0 Hood engages the two and is killed in a shootout.\u00a0 The ex-con kills the two thieves.\u00a0 As Sugar and the ex-con bury the three bodies, the ex-con tells Sugar his plan &#8212; he&#8217;s going to take on Josh Hood&#8217;s identity and become the new sheriff.<\/p>\n<p>Since no one has met the new sheriff yet, what could go wrong?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Banshee<\/em> was created for Cinemax and therefore doesn&#8217;t hold back on filming nudity and sexual situations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Banshee\u00a0 plays out like a really fun crime comic.\u00a0 There are larger than life characters combined with over the top action.<\/p>\n<p>There are enough interesting characters and subplots to keep every episode moving.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hoon Lee is a hoot as Job.\u00a0 Matthew Rauch as Clay Burton is creepy.\u00a0 He reminds me of an adult Kevin from <em>Sin City<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re willing to go with the concept of an ex-con taking the identity of the new sheriff (that nobody has ever met), you&#8217;re in for a fun ride.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: inherit; color: initial;\"><strong><i>Banshee: Season 1 <\/i>(2013)<\/strong> rates 5 of 5 stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2026\/z091726review_banshee_s1a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"292\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Banshee: Season 1 (2013) Created by:\u00a0 Jonathan Tropper, David Schickler Director: Greg Yaitanes (eps. 1; 4; 8) S.J.
