UFC 115<\/strong> was on pay-per-view last night. Although the main event<\/strong> between Chuck “Iceman”<\/em> Liddell <\/strong>and Rich “Ace”<\/em> Franklin<\/strong> was the only fight I was excited about, the card turned out to have several really good, back-and-forth battles. \u00a0 It also turned out to be a tough night for my predictions…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fight: Matt Wiman vs Mac Danzig.<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>Prediction: Danzig <\/strong>scores the win.
\n<\/strong>Result: Wiman earns victory due to ref stoppage. <\/strong> The ref thought Danzig had passed out due to a choke, but that wasn’t the case at all.
\n<\/strong>My Record for the Night: 0-1 <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fight: Tyson Griffin vs Evan Dunham. <\/strong>
\nPrediction: Griffin <\/strong>gets the victory.
\n<\/strong>Result: Dunham wins <\/strong>via split decision.

Fight: Carlos Condit vs Rory MacDonald. <\/strong>
\nPrediction: McDonald keeps his undefeated streak alive <\/strong>in a hard fought battle.
\n<\/strong>Result: Conduit wins via ref stoppage <\/strong>with 7 seconds left in the 3rd round. <\/strong>$85,000 Fight of the Night bonuses went to both fighters!

  • Although the Danzig<\/strong> fight was stopped early<\/strong>, both Danzig<\/strong> and Wiman<\/strong> acted with class.\u00a0 The ref did stop the fight early, but I’d rather see a fight end too early than too late.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • I was surprised that Tyson Griffin<\/strong> couldn’t do more against Evan Dunham<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • I read on an MMA<\/strong> website that only 12%<\/strong> picked Kampmann<\/strong> to defeat Thiago<\/strong>.\u00a0 I wish I had been as insightful on my other picks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Who would have thought that Cro Cop<\/strong> would win by submission<\/strong> and get the Submission of the Night bonus<\/strong> as well?\u00a0 Barry<\/strong> will be back and better than ever!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Chuck Liddell<\/strong> should retire.\u00a0 My guess is that he’ll come back to fight Tito<\/strong> at some point though.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
