That’s Otis Frampton<\/strong><\/a> getting ready for his close-up.\u00a0 Most regular ZONErs know Otis<\/strong><\/a> from my many posts about his 7-7 Sundays<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

That’s Sean Gordon Murphy<\/a><\/strong> holding up the Rocky & Butkus<\/strong> sketch that he did for me at the convention.\u00a0 I was really excited to get on Sean’s sketch list<\/strong> and even happier when I saw the end result.\u00a0 You know that I’ll post a scan of it in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Here we have Wayne Osborne<\/strong> and Uko Smith<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 I’d never met either of these guys before.\u00a0 They were set up almost directly across from Big Beatty’s table<\/strong>.\u00a0 I noticed that Uko<\/strong> was the artist and Wayne<\/strong> just seemed to be hanging out at the table… sort of like I do with Beatty<\/strong>.\u00a0 Then I noticed that Wayne<\/strong> looked a bit like me (or is it that I look a bit like him?).<\/p>\n

So I told Beatty<\/strong>, “that artist brought his own Zablo<\/strong>“.\u00a0 Beatty<\/strong> looked across and did a double take.\u00a0 He got to chuckling.\u00a0 That’s when he noticed that Wayne<\/strong> saw him looking and laughing.\u00a0 So Wayne<\/strong> mouthed something that I won’t repeat.\u00a0 Now Beatty<\/strong> didn’t know what to do.\u00a0 He’d been caught making fun of a stranger, or at least it seemed that way.\u00a0 That’s when Big John<\/strong> realized who it was. John<\/strong> had met Wayne <\/strong>before years ago.\u00a0 Wayne<\/strong> didn’t think Beatty <\/strong>was talking about him, he was just being silly to get John’s attention<\/strong>.\u00a0 At any rate, it was pretty funny if you were there.<\/p>\n
