The other day I posted about Mick Foley<\/strong> being at Heroes Con<\/strong><\/a> this year.\u00a0 One of my goals for the show was to meet Mick<\/strong> and get him to autograph my copy of Have a Good Day<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 As I wrote here<\/strong><\/a>, it wasn’t to be… or at least that’s the way it appeared.<\/p>\n

It was about an hour or so before the show was to end for the day.\u00a0 Several of us were going to go to dinner, so I decided to head back to the room at bit early to freshen up.\u00a0 As I was leaving the convention center to go to the escalator Mick Foley <\/strong>and I crossed paths.\u00a0 There was only one other person around so I decided to go for it.<\/p>\n

“Hey Mick<\/strong>, any chance I could get an autograph?” I asked.\u00a0 Mick<\/strong> answered, “I’m going to the table to sign now.”\u00a0 “Ok, I’ll head back in,” I replied.\u00a0 Mick<\/strong> then asked, “Are you a guest of the show?”\u00a0 “No, my buddy is.\u00a0 I’m here with him.”\u00a0 Mick<\/strong> smiled and said, “Yeah, I’ll sign for you.”\u00a0 I thanked him and pulled out my copy of Have a Good Day<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Mick<\/strong> asked me my name and signed it to me.\u00a0 He then posed for the photo above.<\/p>\n

It was a great ending to a great day.\u00a0 So thanks to Mick Foley<\/strong> for being so cool and thanks to John Beatty<\/strong> for having me as his guest.\u00a0 Good times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
