Earlier today Slashfilm<\/strong><\/a> reported on a rumor that Sly Stallone<\/strong> and Robert DeNiro<\/strong> may team up for “Grudge Match.”<\/strong><\/em> Sly <\/strong>and DeNiro<\/strong> would play…<\/p>\n

… \u201cretired boxers Billy \u201cThe Kid\u201d McGuigan<\/strong> and Henry \u201cRazor\u201d Sharp<\/strong>, lifelong bitter rivals who are coaxed out of retirement and into the ring for one final grudge match<\/span> \u2014 50 years after their last title fight.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although fans would love to see Rocky<\/strong> take on The Raging Bull<\/strong>, I’m not sure now is the time for this type of movie. Sly <\/strong>has Expendables II<\/strong><\/em> on deck and then hopefully something like Hunter<\/strong><\/em> or even Expendables III<\/strong><\/em>. And let’s face it, according to the synopsis of Grudge Match<\/strong><\/em>, Sly<\/strong> and DeNiro<\/strong> were supposed to have fought 50 years ago <\/strong>in a title fight<\/strong> — so they’d have been what 14, 15 years old? Perhaps when Sly<\/strong> and DeNiro <\/strong>have aged a bit, Grudge Match<\/strong><\/em> would be right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
