Like the first, it&#8217;s an <strong>anthology<\/strong> with all stories written by <a href=\"http:\/\/ericskillman.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Eric Skillman<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <strong>Issue two<\/strong> features the art of <strong>Ming Doyle, Victor Kerlow<\/strong> and <strong>Evan Bryce<\/strong>. Let&#8217;s look at the issue&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2011\/z071411egg2_ming.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Lost &amp; Found<\/strong><\/em> by <strong>Eric Skillman<\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mingdoyle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Ming Doyle<\/strong><\/span><\/a> kicks off the issue with an <strong>eight page story<\/strong> about a midwestern girl who moved to the big city after high school.\u00a0 Now nearly a decade later she reconnects with <strong>Tommy<\/strong>, an old friend who loves to party hard.\u00a0 Hanging with <strong>Tommy<\/strong> could be the death of her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Skillman&#8217;s<\/strong> colors mesh well with<strong> Ming Doyle&#8217;s<\/strong> pen and ink work.\u00a0 <strong>Doyle<\/strong> has a unique style but it felt really right for this story.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2011\/z071411egg2_kerlow.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"362\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our second tale, <em><strong>The Platform<\/strong><\/em> teams <strong>Eric Skillman<\/strong> with <a href=\"http:\/\/victorkerlow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Victor Kerlow<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in an <strong>six page story<\/strong> about two subway workers who learn how dangerous it can be coming to the aide of a young lady late at night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This story, like many of <strong>Skillman&#8217;s<\/strong>, has a shocker of an ending.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2011\/z071411egg2_bryce.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our final story brings <strong>Eric Skillman<\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/artgantuan.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Evan Bryce<\/strong><\/span><\/a> together for a tale that they call <em><strong>Cold Feet<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 <strong>Kermit <\/strong>and <strong>Nate<\/strong> are two <strong>crime partners<\/strong> debating whether of not the snowy and icy roads make it the right night for a <strong>robbery<\/strong>.\u00a0 Before the night is over, they&#8217;ll have their answer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Cold Feet<\/strong><\/em> was <strong>my favorite story<\/strong> in the issue.\u00a0 I&#8217;m a big fan of <strong>Evan Bryce&#8217;s art<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>Evan<\/strong> is always pushing the envelope and I think he had the right balance of realism\/cartooniness for this tale.\u00a0 <strong>Skillman<\/strong> did an excellent job of coloring the story &#8212; at first glance I thought that <strong>Evan<\/strong> had done the colors as well.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s hope we see more stories from this team in the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I really enjoyed <strong>Egg: Hard-Boiled Stories #2<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>Eric Skillman<\/strong> is an excellent writer and has an obvious love of the <strong>crime\/hard-boiled genre<\/strong>. He&#8217;s also been able to bring excellent artists to the table, so I&#8217;m hoping that we&#8217;re going to see future issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Egg: Hard-Boiled Stories #2 is, not surprisingly, a follow-up to to Egg: Hard-Boiled Stories #1.
