Prisencolinensinainciusol<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is without a doubt the best music video<\/strong> I’ve seen in years.\u00a0 Prisencolinensinainciusol<\/strong> was first released as a single in Italy<\/strong> in 1972<\/strong> and then appeared on Italian<\/strong> tv as a music video<\/strong> in 1973<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The song was written by Adriano Celentano<\/strong>.\u00a0 Celentano<\/strong> is also joined on the performance of the song by his wife Claudia Mori<\/strong>.\u00a0 What’s interesting to note is that the video features Celentano<\/strong> singing and dancing along with Italian<\/strong> showgirl Raffaella Carr\u00e0<\/strong> who dances and lip-synchs to Mori’s vocals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Another interesting fact about the song is that is was written in response to American<\/strong> records dominating the Italian<\/strong> pop charts. \u00a0 Italian<\/strong> kids were buying American<\/strong> records but most didn’t speak English<\/strong> and couldn’t understand the lyrics.\u00a0 Celentano <\/strong>decided to write a pop song that sounded like the words were English<\/strong>, but in reality were gibberish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
