The <strong>images<\/strong>, the <strong>shock<\/strong> and the <strong>horror<\/strong> are still all too clear.\u00a0 My <strong>oldest son<\/strong> had just started high school&#8230; now he&#8217;s a second year teacher.\u00a0 My <strong>youngest son <\/strong>was just starting sixth grade&#8230; now he&#8217;s well into college.\u00a0 I was an assistant principal&#8230; at the school where I am now the principal. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are many <strong>special events<\/strong> and <strong>tv shows\/documentaries<\/strong> geared to help us remember that tragic day when the world seemed to stop and all eyes were glued to the tv dreading another announcement of an attack on freedom.\u00a0 While many of these events will focus on the disasters the attacks caused, my hope is that somehow we can get back that <strong>feeling of patriotism<\/strong> and <strong>pulling together as a nation<\/strong> that took place after the shock of the events wore off.<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:100%;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">My<strong> thoughts and prayers <\/strong>go out to the families and friends of all impacted on that terrible day&#8230; which is basically all of us.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size:78%;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Photo credit: <a style=\"color: #cc0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/noamg\/241293966\/sizes\/m\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Naom Galai<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s hard for me to believe that the 9\/11 attacks took place ten years ago.
