There were only<strong> two fights<\/strong> that I cared about.\u00a0 Here are my predictions and the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Josh Koscheck vs. Matt Hughes<\/strong>.<br \/>\nPrediction:<strong> Koscheck wins<\/strong> via ref <strong>stoppage<\/strong>.<br \/>\nResult: <strong>Koscheck won via first round KO<\/strong> making me <strong>1-0 <\/strong>for the night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jon Jones vs. Quinton \u201cRampage\u201d Jackson<\/strong><br \/>\nPrediction:<strong> Jones by TKO.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Result:<strong> Jones won by 4th round submission <\/strong>making me<strong> 2-0<\/strong> for the night.<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Final thoughts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Matt Hughes<\/strong> didn&#8217;t announce his retirement after the loss.\u00a0 At <strong>38<\/strong>,\u00a0 and with <strong>two consecutive first round losses<\/strong>, <strong>retirement<\/strong> sounds like the right choice.\u00a0 My guess is that in a few months <strong>Dana White<\/strong> will announce that <strong>Hughes<\/strong> has a new position in the <strong>UFC<\/strong> and will no longer fight.\u00a0 The word retirement may not even be used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jones<\/strong> already has his next title defense set.\u00a0 He will defend against <strong>Rashad Evens<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UFC 135 was on pay-per-view last night.
