If you grew up in the mid-west, there&#8217;s a good chance that you watched and enjoyed him as he hosted<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> &#8220;Nightmare Theater&#8221;<\/span> out of<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> Indianapolis<\/span> back in the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">mid 60&#8217;s<\/span> through the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">80&#8217;s<\/span>.<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial;\">I used to love staying up late to watch the monster movies that he presented. Thanks to<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> Sammy<\/span> and his <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Nightmare Theater,&#8221;<\/span> I discovered the classics (<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Bride of Frankenstein,&#8221; &#8220;The Thing,&#8221; &#8220;Creature from the Black Lagoon&#8221;<\/span> and many others]. <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Sammy<\/span> would come on to introduce the movie and tell bad jokes&#8230; he would then be back after commercial breaks with more bad jokes&#8230; and of course, he would end each show wishing everyone <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;pleasant nightmares.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\">I was happy to find <a href=\"https:\/\/sammyterry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>a site dedicated to Sammy<\/strong><\/a>, the scariest guy that we all loved!<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The scary looking guy to the left is Sammy Terry.
