Earlier this week <\/span>Variety<\/b> reported that <\/span>Dominic Sena<\/b> (<\/span>“Gone in 60 Seconds”<\/b>) will direct the 1952 pulp fiction classic <\/span>“The Killer Inside Me”<\/b> by <\/span>Jim Thompson<\/b>. While I didn’t care much for <\/span>“Gone in 60 Seconds”<\/b> because of the story, I am fairly excited about the prospects for<\/span> “The Killer Inside Me.”<\/b><\/p>\n

First of all, it’s an excellent book, considered by many to be <\/span>Jim Thompson<\/b>‘s best. <\/span>Stanley Kubrick<\/b> called it “the most chilling and believeable first-person story of a criminally warped mind that I have ever encountered.” I agree. <\/span><\/p>\n

But who to play the main character, Lou Ford, a sheriff’s deputy with a psychopathic side? My vote would be for someone totally unexpected… someone like <\/span>Sylvester Stallone<\/b>! Fans have been wanting to see him play a bad guy… well, this could be the role. Whoever is chosen should be playing totally against character… someone that everyone would NEVER suspect is a psychopathic murderer… if not <\/span>Sly<\/b> then maybe <\/span>Harrison Ford<\/b>?
