The Emmy Awards<\/b> are on tonight, and there are a few shows\/actors that I hope win.<\/p>\n

In the best DRAMA<\/b> category, I am pulling for West Wing<\/b> but I wouldn’t be upset if 24<\/b> won against CSI<\/b>, Law and Order<\/b>, and Six Feet Under<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In the COMEDY<\/b> category, it would appear that Friends<\/b> is a lock against Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/b>, Everybody Loves Raymond<\/b>, Sex and the City<\/b> and Will & Grace<\/b>.<\/p>\n

For best WRITING<\/b> for a DRAMA<\/b> series, there are several very worthy contenders. I would like to see The Shield \u2022 Pilot \u2022 Shawn Ryan, Writer<\/b> win because it was such a groundbreaking episode, but it would be hard to argue against Alias \u2022 Truth Be Told (Pilot) \u2022 J.J. Abrams, Writer<\/b>; ER \u2022 On The Beach \u2022 John Wells, Writer<\/b>; 24 \u2022 Midnight – 1:00 a.m. (Pilot) \u2022 Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, Writers<\/b>; or The West Wing \u2022 Posse Comitatus \u2022 Aaron Sorkin, Writer<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The LEAD ACTOR<\/b> in a DRAMA<\/b> is another tough category. I am going to pull for either Michael Chiklis as Detective Vic Mackey in The Shield<\/b> or Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer – 24<\/b> who are up against Michael C. Hall as David Fisher – Six Feet Under<\/b>, Peter Krause as Nate Fisher – Six Feet Under<\/b> and Martin Sheen as Josiah Bartlet – The West Wing<\/b>.<\/p>\n

I’m gonna pull for Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow star of Alias<\/b> for the LEAD ACTRESS<\/b> in a DRAMA <\/b>category. She’s up against Amy Brenneman as Judge Amy Gray – Judging Amy<\/b>; Rachel Griffiths as Brenda Chenowith – Six Feet Under<\/b>; Frances Conroy as Ruth Fisher – Six Feet Under<\/b>; and Allison Janney as C.J. Cregg – The West Wing<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The SUPPORTING ACTOR<\/b> in a DRAMA <\/b>is dominated by West Wing <\/b>actors and my choice is John Spencer as Leo McGarry – The West Wing<\/b> up against Victor Garber as CIA Agent Jack D. Bristow – Alias<\/b>; Freddy Rodriguez as Federico Diaz – Six Feet Under<\/b>; Dul\u00e9 Hill as Charlie Young – The West Wing<\/b>; Bradley Whitford as Josh Lyman – The West Wing<\/b>; and Richard Schiff as Toby Ziegler – The West Wing<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n

These are the categories in which I am “pulling” for a winner. I would have given my predictions in other categories but it’s time for me to plan out my viewing for the week. ; )<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n
