The Shield<\/em>\u00a0 premieres January 7th at 10PM<\/strong>. If you’ve missed some episodes along the way, I’d suggest that you check out “The Shield” Marathon<\/strong> starting tonight. FX<\/strong> will run back to back episodes each night at 10PM January 1st – 6th<\/strong>. This will lead right into the new season. <\/span>“The Shield”<\/strong> is widely considered to be one of the best shows on tv. And rightly so. <\/span><\/p>\n

MICHAEL CHIKLIS<\/strong><\/span> [the lead actor] earned basic cable\u2019s<\/strong> first ever Primetime Emmy\u00ae Award <\/strong>for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series<\/strong>. CHIKLIS<\/strong> also captured the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Drama<\/strong>.

“The Shield”<\/strong> picked up Emmy nominations<\/strong> for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series<\/strong> for creator SHAWN RYAN<\/strong>, and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series<\/strong> for CLARK JOHNSON<\/strong>, both basic cable firsts<\/strong>. The series also received Television Critics Association Award nominations<\/strong> in the categories of New Program of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Drama<\/strong> and Program of the Year<\/strong>. <\/span><\/div>\n
