Movie&#8230; Let&#8217;s Kickstart This Sucker!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2012\/z101312goon_kickstarter.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"631\" height=\"659\" \/><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><strong>Ten years<\/strong> ago <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=711\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>I wrote a post<\/strong><\/span><\/a> talking about an awesome new <strong>comic<\/strong> <strong>series<\/strong> called <em><strong>The Goon<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 For more than a decade,\u00a0 <strong>Eric Powell<\/strong> [who created, writes and draws] <em><strong>The Goon<\/strong><\/em> has continued to produce a <strong>comic<\/strong> loved by fans of all ages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">So it was no surprise when, four years ago, <em><strong>The Goon<\/strong><\/em> was <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=1864\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>optioned to become a feature film<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">About a year later we got to see <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=2945\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>a couple of production images<\/strong><\/span><\/a> showing how <em><strong>The Goon<\/strong><\/em> movie would look.\u00a0 <strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><strong>Two years<\/strong> ago <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=4710\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>we were treated<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to a <strong>movie poster<\/strong> for <em><strong>The Goon<\/strong><\/em> which was listed as &#8220;Coming Soon to a Theater Near You.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">A year ago <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=5775\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>we got to glimpse test footage<\/strong><\/span><\/a> from <em><strong>The Goon<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 Each step of the way, the hope for an actual full length feature length<em><strong> Goon<\/strong><\/em> film seemed closer to becoming a reality.\u00a0 Unfortunately, even with <strong>David [<em>Se7en<\/em>] Fincher<\/strong> on board, the financing wasn&#8217;t there.<em><strong><\/strong><\/em><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><strong><\/strong><em><strong><\/strong><\/em><strong><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Now thanks to <strong>Kickstarter<\/strong>, all that can change.\u00a0 I&#8217;m in.\u00a0 Will you join me?\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/624061548\/the-goon-movie-lets-kickstart-this-sucker\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>The Goon<\/em> movie&#8230;
