Is he a living shadow or a figure in blue and gray? Are the ears of his cowl short little nubs or do they climb like spires?<\/p>\n<p>You tell us.<\/p>\n<p>Then we\u2019ll tell you who was nominated the most.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No lists either. Just one pick per person. And make your case!<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deciding who is my <strong>best Batman artist<\/strong> is tough. \u00a0Because of the<strong> long history<\/strong> of the character and the <strong>number of amazing artists<\/strong> who&#8217;ve worked on <strong>The Dark Knight<\/strong>, it is not an easy task. \u00a0Let&#8217;s take a look at some of my favorites and see if we can reach a definitive <strong>&#8220;best Batman artist.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Neal Adams<\/strong>: Many consider <strong>Neal Adams<\/strong> the best <strong>Batman<\/strong> artist. \u00a0He is the artist who brought <strong>Batman<\/strong> out of the <strong>Adam West<\/strong> age of <em>&#8220;Bam! Pow!&#8221;<\/em> stories and made the <strong>Batman<\/strong> more of a <strong>Dark Knight<\/strong> avenger. \u00a0His <strong>Batman<\/strong> had a more realistic look than in the past.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Marshall Rogers<\/strong>: <strong>Rogers&#8217; Batman<\/strong> was more less realistic looking than <strong>Adams<\/strong>, but not full out cartoony. \u00a0I loved <strong>Rogers&#8217;<\/strong> run with the character back in the 70&#8217;s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mike Zeck<\/strong>: <strong>Zeck&#8217;s Batman<\/strong> was big and tough and someone whose presence would strike fear into the hearts of evil-doers because he looked like he could and would hurt them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Frank Miller<\/strong>: The older, tough <strong>Batman<\/strong>. \u00a0The <strong>Batman<\/strong> who went toe-to-toe with <strong>Superman<\/strong> and won.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>David Mazzucchelli<\/strong>: The <em><strong>Batman Year One<\/strong><\/em> artist. \u00a0<strong>Mazzuccheli&#8217;s<\/strong> style made every line count.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kelley Jones<\/strong>: <strong>Jones<\/strong> drew the <strong>Batman<\/strong> that was scary. \u00a0He was scary not because he was physically imposing, but because he was <strong>The. Bat. Man.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These are the<strong> top 6<\/strong> artists who come to my mind. \u00a0There were others:<strong> Jim Aparo, Norm Breyfogle, Brian Boland, Eduardo Rizzo, John Byrne<\/strong>&#8230; the list could go on and on. \u00a0But let&#8217;s get back to the task at hand&#8230; picking my favorite <strong>Batman<\/strong> artist.<\/p>\n<p>Drumroll, please&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And the award for <strong>Zablo&#8217;s Favorite Batman Artist<\/strong>\u00a0goes to&#8230; <strong>Marshall Rogers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently iFanboy asked readers&#8230; Who is\u00a0your\u00a0Batman and what does he look like?
