{"id":8099,"date":"2013-04-20T09:13:14","date_gmt":"2013-04-20T13:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=8099"},"modified":"2021-05-22T09:47:51","modified_gmt":"2021-05-22T13:47:51","slug":"ufc-on-fox-and-fx-tonight-my-predictions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=8099","title":{"rendered":"UFC on FOX (and FX) Tonight &#8211; My Predictions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2013\/z042013ufc_onfox7.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"662\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you&#8217;re a <strong>MMA<\/strong> fan, then you&#8217;re probably looking forward to a full night of fights. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starting at <strong>5pm EST<\/strong> we have the <strong>UFC Prelims on FX<\/strong>. \u00a0This portion of the card includes:<\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T.J.\u00a0Dillashaw<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Hugo\u00a0Viani<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tim Means<\/strong> vs. <strong>Jorge\u00a0Masvidal<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Joseph\u00a0Benavidez<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Darren\u00a0Uyenoyama<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ramsey\u00a0Nijem<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Myles Jury<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Francis\u00a0Carmont<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Lorenz\u00a0Larkin<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Chad\u00a0Mendes<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Darren\u00a0Elkins<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then at<strong> 8pm EST<\/strong> we switch over to<strong> FOX<\/strong> for the <strong>main event fights:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nate\u00a0Diaz<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Josh Thomson<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Matt Brown<\/strong> vs. <strong>Jordan\u00a0Mein<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Frank Mir<\/strong>\u00a0vs. <strong>Daniel\u00a0Cormier<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Benson Henderson<\/strong> vs. <strong>Gilbert Melendez<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\">While I&#8217;ll be watching the <strong>prelims<\/strong>, my interest is in the <strong>main event<\/strong>. \u00a0So, let&#8217;s take a look at <strong>my predictions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nate\u00a0Diaz<\/strong>\u00a0vs.\u00a0<strong>Josh Thomson<br \/>\nThoughts:\u00a0<\/strong>I&#8217;m not a fan of the <strong>Diaz brothers<\/strong>, but they almost always get the job done. Still, I like to root against them. \u00a0<strong>Thomson<\/strong> is a <strong>big underdog<\/strong> in this won. \u00a0I like pulling for the &#8216;dog. So since I&#8217;m not betting..<br \/>\n<strong>My Prediction:<\/strong> <strong>Thompson<\/strong> with a <strong>decision win<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Matt Brown<\/strong>\u00a0vs.\u00a0<strong>Jordan\u00a0Mein<br \/>\nThoughts:\u00a0Brown<\/strong> is tough as they come and on a <strong>four fight win streak<\/strong>&#8230; yet he is the <strong>underdog<\/strong> in this fight. \u00a0Well, you know I like pulling for the &#8216;dog.<br \/>\n<strong>My Prediction:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Brown<\/strong> with a <strong>decision win<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Frank Mir<\/strong>\u00a0vs.\u00a0<strong>Daniel\u00a0Cormier<br \/>\nThoughts:\u00a0Frank Mir<\/strong> is one of my <strong>all-time favorite fighters<\/strong>. \u00a0<strong>Mir<\/strong> is a <strong>HUGE underdog<\/strong> tonight. \u00a0<strong>Cormier<\/strong> is an <strong>Olympic class wrestler<\/strong> with <strong>knockout power<\/strong>. \u00a0<strong>Mir<\/strong> has struggled with <strong>big punchers<\/strong>, so he&#8217;ll want to take the fight to the ground. \u00a0Once there, he&#8217;ll find himself waging war with an <strong>Olympic class wrestler<\/strong>. \u00a0It looks like a tough night for <strong>Mir<\/strong>. \u00a0Of course he is one of my favorite fighters so&#8230;<br \/>\n<strong>My Prediction<\/strong>: Mir wins via <strong>stoppage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Benson Henderson<\/strong>\u00a0vs.\u00a0<strong>Gilbert Melendez<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Thoughts: Henderson<\/strong> is <strong>slightly favored<\/strong> in what should be the<strong> fight of the night<\/strong>.
