Pulp<\/strong><\/em> is a 24 page one shot comic written by Jeremy Holt<\/strong> and illustrated, lettered and colored by Chris Peterson<\/strong>. It’s a ‘film noir’ type tale of solitude and how obsession plays on the psyche. Includes pinup by Brian Level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Pulp<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the tale of John Merchant<\/strong>, an obsessed writer [is there any other kind] and how he achieved his fame. \u00a0The writing and art meld perfectly. \u00a0The story is a simple one, but told with a level of complexity that makes it all the more surprising as the reveals become clear. \u00a0I’ve read it three times so far and appreciate it more with each reading. \u00a0Pulp<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 could have easily been titled Noir<\/strong> <\/em>because it represents both genres so well.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Holt<\/strong><\/a> and Chris Peterson<\/strong> are creators that I am going to watch. \u00a0They’ve created a comic more than worth the price of admission.\u00a0I look forward to seeing what they cook up next.<\/p>\n

Pulp<\/strong>\u00a0 gets my highest recommendation with the understanding that this is a comic for mature audiences<\/strong> and not kids. \u00a0If you’re a fan of crime comics, pulp fiction<\/strong>, and noir<\/strong>, then Pulp<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>is for you!<\/p>\n
