When movie fans talk about the films of Alfred Hitchock<\/strong> the first ones mentioned are usually, Vertigo, Psycho, North by Northwest<\/em>,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Rear Window<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0Often the list goes on a bit more before Rope<\/strong><\/em> is mentioned. \u00a0And that’s too bad because many folks never get around to seeing it.<\/p>\n

Rope<\/strong><\/em><\/a> stars Jimmy Stewart<\/strong> in Hitchock’s<\/strong> adaptation of a play based on the infamous\u00a0Leopold-Loeb<\/strong> murder case. \u00a0(Another excellent movie based on the Leopold-Loeb<\/strong> murder case is Compulsion<\/strong><\/em><\/a> starring Orson Welles, Dean Stockwell<\/strong> and Bradford Dillman<\/strong>.) \u00a0It’s interesting to note that Hitchcock<\/strong> filmed Rope<\/strong><\/em> as if it was done\u00a0with one continuous shot to keep the feel of a stage play!<\/p>\n
