Did you know that Rocky Balboa was once a member of G.I. Joe? In 1986 it was announced that he was.
But then a month later came…

So the question remains… was Rocky a member of team G.I. Joe or was it a mistake made by an overzealous member of the G.I. Joe publicity team?
Or perhaps… just maybe, Rocky was a secret member of the Joe’s and the first file was somehow leaked so a denial was needed. ; ) – Craig

That’s Scott Godlewski’s take on Sly as Rambo. I got this sketch when I ordered a couple of Scott’s sketchbooks. He also did me a killer Jack Carter that I post in the coming weeks.
Until then, you can see more of Scott’s art here. – Craig

Here’s the poster to Homefront starring Jason Statham with a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone [who also doubles as a producer on the film].
I like the look of this and can’t wait to see a trailer.

The Pitch: “Let’s make a zombie movie [zombies are hot] based on Max Brooks’ World War Z novel [that book is hot] starring Brad Pitt [he’s hot].”
The Overview: A worldwide zombie outbreak is spreading at such an alarming rate that it threatens to wipeout humanity. Brad Pitt plays Gerry Lane, a former UN investigator asked to go with a young scientist and a team of Navy SEALS into a hot zone to see if the scientist can get information to stop the zombie infection. Nothing goes as planned… but does it ever during a zombie outbreak?

Have you seen the trailer for Killing Season starring Robert Deniro and John Travolta? If not, please check it out and then we’ll talk. [For those who have seen it, please give me a second and we’ll resume below.]
Okay. Now that everyone is on the same page, what did you think?
Yeah. I agree. Killing Season has one of those trailers that after you watch it, you feel you’ve seen the movie. My guess is that I’ll wait to Netflix or rent Killing Season.

It’s been almost three years since we’ve seen news about the uber-talented Jason Pearson here at CZ.com.
Today I’m really happy to write that Jason is hard at work on a new Body Bags mini-series that he calls Body Bags: Vicious. Jason says that he’s going to write, draw and color the series.
Where can I put in my order, now?

Here’s the IMAX poster for Riddick.
You know, the only IMAX movies I’ve ever seen have been at places like the Kennedy Space Center. Perhaps I should drive over to Orlando and check out Riddick on an IMAX screen when it premieres.

It looks like Bryce Carlson [writer], Vanesa R. Del Rey [artist] and Boom! Studios has a real hit on their hands when they release Hit this September.
Set in Los Angeles in the 1955, Hit tells the story of…
…Harvey Slater, who’s a Hollywood homicide detective by day and an LAPD hitman by night. His life is… complicated. Slater’s a smart detective who isn’t afraid to pull the trigger, so you never quite know exactly how he’s going to handle a given situation. His journey is a personification of how Los Angeles was changing at the time, and how challenging the ever-growing duality really was. Usually there’s booze and cigarettes involved and Slater getting into bed with a woman he shouldn’t.
This will definitely make my pull list! If you’d like to know more about Hit, check out CBR’s Carlson Puts Out a Cold-Blooded “Hit” at Boom!

Did you know…
On the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Secret Service realized they did not have a have a bulletproof car to transport President Roosevelt safely to Congress to deliver his Infamy Speech. A quick thinking Secret Service agent realized that the U.S. Treasury had seized the bulletproof limo of Al Capone in 1931.
The car was still in working condition and safely transported the president to Congress. President Roosevelt reportedly quipped, “I hope Mr. Capone won’t mind.”
That’s just one of the interesting facts in Brian Galindo’s 10 Interesting Facts About World War II That You May Not Know posted at Buzzfeed.
And a “sure you can borrow my car” to Bill Crider.

The Texas Sky Screamer is the world’s tallest swing ride — in fact it is the tallest structure in Arlington!
Honestly, I’m not sure I’d ride that. Would you?

Zero by Ales Kot [writer] and Michael Walsh [artist] looks interesting. Here’s how the advance solicitation describes it…
SAVING THE WORLD. ONE MURDER AT A TIME.
Edward Zero is the perfect execution machine – a spy who breaks the rules to get things done. When a stolen device appears in the center of a long-running conflict, Zero comes to retrieve it. The problem is, the device is inside a living, breathing, bio-modified terrorist and there’s an entire army after it.
iFanboy has more about Zero and Michael Walsh. I’ve seen enough to put in a pre-order with my local comic shop. How about you?

That’s the special Eduardo Rizzo cover for Brother Lono #1 created by Brian Azzarello [writer], Eduardo Risso [artist], Trish Mulvihill [colorist], Clem Robbins [letterer] and Rev. Dave Johnson [cover artist].
Yep, that’s the same award-winning creative team that brought us 100 issues of 100 Bullets. Seems only right that they’d all return to bring us the spin-off series Brother Lono.
If you’d like to see an exclusive preview of Brother Lono, you can thanks to USAToday!

Yesterday we got a look at the Riddick “Rules the Dark” poster.
