Well, this is quite a different take on The Predator.

Great news today for Stallone / Rambo fans. According to a post by Jeremy Kay at ScreenDaily, Sylvester Stallone is set to return to his iconic role of Rambo. Filming is set to begin September 1st with locations that include London, Bulgaria, and the Canary Islands.
If that doesn’t get your (First) blood flowing, wait until you hear the plot! Rambo is…
…living in a ranch in Arizona, deeply troubled and wrestling with PTSD as he picks up casual work wherever he can.
When long-time family friend and estate manager Maria informs Rambo that her grand-daughter has gone missing after crossing into Mexico for a party, he sets off with her to find the youngster.
What ensues is a violent descent into hell as Rambo uncovers a sex-trafficking ring. He teams up with a journalist whose half-sister has also been kidnapped and must deploy all his skills to save the girls and bring down a vicious crime lord.
I wonder if Sly will direct? If not, who?

Thomas Boatwright puts his spin on Sly from Cobra.
Over the years I’ve gotten several Stallone pieces from Thomas. Here is what has been posted so far… there are more to come.
If you’d like to see more of Thomas Boatwright’s art check out his blog and his DA site. Send him some love.
If you get commissions, you should consider a piece from Thomas. He keeps you totally in the loop on his progress, finishes his commissions on or ahead of schedule, has very reasonable prices, is a fantastic artist and always gives you more than you’re expecting! – Craig

I first saw the Gotti trailer a couple of days ago and thought that’s interesting. Funny thing is, the trailer stayed on my mind and the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of seeing Travolta playing John Gotti.
So what do youse think? Winna or Get-Outa-Here?

Check out the trailer for Evil Genius.
Kind of pulls you in, huh? It sure did for me.
Of course I’m old enough to remember the case. Bank robber becomes surrounded by cops while trying to make his escape. He tells the cops that he was kidnapped and the kidnappers placed the device around his neck. It is a bomb set to blow his head off if he doesn’t rob the bank. Although cops are skeptical, they keep their distance. Guy begs for help… As cops work out what to do, the bomb goes off killing the guy.
Who was behind this? Was the guy kidnapped or part of the robbery gone wrong? I guess we’ll find out if we tune in. I know I will.

Once a week Joblo.com posts Awesome Art We’ve Found Around the Net. As you can imagine, they post awesome art that they, well, you get the idea.
I always enjoy seeing what JoBlo has found because with each post they list the artist’s name and a link to more of his/her art. That’s where I saw this Assault on Precinct 13 (by Martin Ansin) poster.

I’ve been a fan of Chris Conidis’ art for some time now. When I saw the opportunity to get his take on Jack Carter, I pulled the trigger. To see a bigger version of it, click here and to see more of Chris’ art, check out his instagram page.

I really like the Feral poster shown above. There’s a second poster that you can see here, that’s pretty good too. And because you demanded it, the trailer is posted below.

This poster for Skyscraper makes me want to see it. It’s been talked up like Die Hard, but I think it’s gonna be more like Towering Inferno. As long as it’s a fun couple of hours, who really cares?

Matt Childers is back with his riff on Sly as Jack Carter. This is my second sketch from Matt. You can see my first here.
If you’re a sketch collector, Matt gets my highest recommendation.

Did you know that Creed was named one of The 25 Best American Screenplays of the 21st Century by the fine folks at IndieWire? It was and here is what they had to say…
Ryan Coogler and Aaron Covington’s “Creed” screenplay is the kind of crowd-pleasing knockout that seems to come along once in a blue moon. Not only does the script manage to tell an authentic origin story of the young and determined Adonis Creed, but it also finds an authentic way to revive Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky and make him the emotional lynchpin of Adonis’ rise to champion boxer. Nothing in “Creed” feels shoehorned in to satisfy “Rocky” fans. The script fights hard to invest you in Adonis’ journey and earn its callbacks to Stallone’s classic. No wonder the moment when Creed runs through the streets of Philadelphia feels like such an invigorated triumph. The script is the very definition of satisfaction. —Zack Sharf

A Quiet Place is an inventive, original and scary (without being gory) horror movie. John Krasinski, who co-wrote and directed A Quiet Place, shares how sound and silence were key in making the audience feel tension and better understand characters.
If you haven’t seen A Quiet Place, you should!

Caitlin Busch decided to spend some time Ranking the Top 10 “The Rock” Characters for Syfy.com.
Using just her list, here are two of my favorites. Yeah, just two this time. Busch’s list favored The Rock’s comedy’s and I lean to action. So… here’s the two from her list…
Luke Hobbs, Fast and Furious franchise (2011-present)
Raymond Gaines, San Andreas (2015)
…and then a couple that I think should have made the cut…
Beck, The Rundown (2003)
Driver, Faster (2010)
The Equalizer 2 poster and trailer are here… and I like ’em. Of course I liked the first Equalizer movie, so maybe this isn’t big news. I do hope that all of the major action pieces weren’t shown in the trailer.
