The second trailer for A Quiet Place is here. The movie looks better and better!
S. Craig Zahler Interview!

S. Craig Zahler is a novelist, screenwriter and movie director.
Zahler’s novels include Mean Business on North Ganson Street, A Congregation of Jackals, Wraiths of the Broken Land, and Hug Chickenpenny: The Panegyric of an Anomalous Child. I’ve read and enjoyed Mean Business on North Ganson Street. I look forward to diving in to his other novels.
At this point, Zahler is probably best known for his movies. Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99 showed Zahler to be a promising film-maker not afraid to create genre films that are equal parts character study, action and horror. Zahler’s next film, Dragged Across Concrete, stars Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn with support from Jennifer Carpenter, Don Johnson, Laurie Holden,Udo Kier and Michael Jai White. I can’t wait.
Jedidiah Ayres recently interviewed S. Craig Zahler and they talked novels, movies and more. Well done, Jedidiah!
“Your Date is Here” – Award Winning Horror Short!

Your Date is Here is a fun little horror short based on the 1960s Mystery Date board game.
The “Primal Rage” Trailer is Here!

Regular readers will know what I mean when I say Primal Rage looks like a great drive-in movie. If you’re not a regular reader a drive-in movie is one that looks like a low-budget fun ride.
The “Bad Samaritan” Poster and Trailer are Here!

Wow! This surprised me. Very creepy and now on my radar.
The “Spinning Man” Poster and Trailer are Here!

I like the look of Spinning Man. (Interesting that he has memory trouble – Momento anyone?)
“First Blood” by Billy Graham

Billy Graham is an artist that left us way to soon. I’m sad to say I never got to meet Mr. Graham but I did grow up reading comics that he did, most notably Luke Cage: Hero for Hire and The Black Panther.
Recently some of Billy’s family members have started posting his art. This very cool First Blood piece was one of those posted.
Eric Canate’s Marv from “Sin City”

There are two things we don’t see enough around here: 1) Eric Canate art and 2) Marv from Sin City.
Today: two birds, one stone.
Uma Thurman on Harvey Weinstein and the “Kill Bill” Stunt Gone Wrong

Uma Thurman has an interesting interview with Maureen Dowd at The New York Times. In it, Thurman talks about abuse from Harvey Weinstein and an automobile stunt on the set of Kill Bill that went terribly wrong. There’s video of the stunt that created a rift between her and Tarantino. Overall a worthy read.

Elizabeth Rayne at Syfy Wire explains WHY WHITE ZOMBIE, THE FIRST ZOMBIE FEATURE, STILL SCARES US. The article is worth a read.

“The Looking Glass” Poster & Trailer are Here!

Looking Glass starring Nicholas Cage doesn’t look half bad. (And don’t let me hear one of you wiseguys say, “You’re right. It looks all bad.”)
“The Hurricane Heist” Poster & Trailer are Here!

From time to time you’ll hear me speak about drive-ins and the types of movies that could be seen at ’em. Hurricane Heist looks like it would have been the second feature on a triple bill. Not the re-released major movie, but the action film being pushed along.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
