Tentatively titled 28 weeks later, it probably won’t be directed by Danny Boyle [who helmed the original] or written by Alex Garland [who wrote the original… although both may return as producers.

Cowboys and Aliens.
Yeah, that does kind of work for me. At least it makes me want to take a closer look. Cowboys and Aliens is a comic written by Fred Van Lente with art by Ian Richardson [published by Platnum Studios] and it’s being turned into a movie for Columbia Pictures.
We’ll have to keep an eye on this one!
About a year ago I had the good fortune to attend a special screening of Equilibrium, written and directed by Kurt Wimmer. Mr. Wimmer was in the audience and took questions afterwards. One of the questions was about his next project.
Mr. Wimmer said it would be called “Ultrviolet,” and it would star Milla Jovovich. The story involves a woman who finds herself the protector of a boy targeted for death against the backdrop of a civil war between humans and vampires. Mila is a vampire!
This is another project worth watching.
There’s a new a new trailer on-line now and the official site has opened.
We’re in for a lot of fun on November 5th!
Terry Goldman of ElectricArtists, one of the main guys behind “The Chronicles of Riddick” vidoe game, e-mailed to say that he wanted to give SZoners access to their assets page which has key art, images(new images posted every 2 weeks), synopsis, and trailer: www.electricartists.com/darkfury/assets.html.Terry went on to say that he would interested in partnering with ZONE to do an online promotional contest if he can work out the deal with Universal.
Just how cool is that?
So check out their site and tell them that I sent ya!
The trailer for Michael Mann and Tom Cruise‘s Collateral is now on-line. Mann and Cruise have individually done some very good films. Movies like Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Top Gun and Mission Impossible II. But they’ve also had some misses Ali and Eyes Wide Shut.I’m hoping that Collateral will be a hit, but I’m not sold on it yet… even after seeing the trailer.
If you liked the new teaser trailer from yesterday, then you’re going to love today’s new all action packed ful length trailer. Yeah, baby! Yeah!It sounded pretty lame to me. Sort of like two little kids arguing about who would win between Hulk and Superman… Rocky and Rambo… Jason and Freddy…
But I’ve got to admit, the more I see about Alien vs Predator, the cooler I think it might be. There’s a trailer on-line and it’s helping to make a believer out of me.

Now that I’ve heard more about the storyline and have started to see production photos, I say, Bring it on!

This must be Riddick day… and here I thought it was just Wednesday!
Dark Horizons has posted up some shots from “The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury“, an all-new animated trip into the Riddick universe which will be released on dvd on June 15th!
[If you’re going to order on-line and use the link provided above the SZ gets a small percentage and it doesn’t raise your price!]

The trailer for The Chronicles of Riddick surprised me. I knew that Twohy and Diesel were going for something huge, but I still was surprised at the scope of their plans. I’ll admit I was a little worried, but more than willing to go along.
Now that advance reviews are coming in I really can’t wait to see this film. I think that we’re going to be in for the kind of surprises that Pitch Black gave us.
And that’s a very good thing.

The production company didn’t care at all for the footage turned in by original director Paul Schrader who had created “a creepy psychological thriller sans the gore.” So Renny Harlin was brought in to reshoot the entire movie. Harlin recast roles and went to work. Harlin‘s version will hit big screens later this year.
The cool thing is that fans will get to see both versions once the dvd is released. And I’ll be willing to bet that a good portion of fans will prefer the version that was never released to theaters!
The first is called Shaun of the Dead [gotta love that title!] which is a comedy from the UK. It looks like a lot of fun!
The second is called Undead. Man, I’m still not sure what to make of this one. I watched the trailer… and I’m still not sure what to make of this one…
