Chris Flick of Capes and Babes makes his first appearance in my Stallone Theme Sketch Collection. I had the good fortune to sit with Chris, Thomas Zahler of Love and Capes , LittleJohn312 and Patricia at last year’s Heroes Con Drink and Draw event. What a great evening! Ah, but I digress…

Chris Flick worked up this cool sketch of Sly accepting a well-deserved award for his amazing working on Rambo. You can learn more about Chris as well as check out his popular Cape and Babes webcomic.

This week we have Michael Duron and his take on Sly as Rambo. Michael is from Florida and I met him at OrlandoCon where he was nice enough to fit me in on his sketch list. You can see more of Michael’s art at his site.

Today we have Sly as Barney Ross by Shawn Surface. Shawn is an all-around nice guy and his art should be getting more attention. This is the second of three pieces that I recently picked up from Shawn. Here’s the first of my recent Shawn Surface purchases, and the third will be posted in the coming weeks. Until then, why not check out his site and give him some love?

Today’s Rocky and Adrian drawing above was created by the uber talented Chris Brunner at last year’s Heroes Con. I’m a huge fan and it was a joy to get a second piece from Chris for my collection. He did my first piece from him back in 2003!

The Rambo drawing above is by the very talented Eli Minaya. I met Eli at this year’s MegaCon. I’d never seen Eli’s art before, but decided on the spot to see about getting a con sketch from him. Eli was up for it and Rambo seemed the natural choice. As you can see from the piece above, it was.

This is my second Mitch Byrd sketch. You can see the first here. It’s rare to see Mitch at conventions but I’ve been lucky enough to meet up with him at MegaCon a couple of times. When Mitch makes an appearance, I try to get on his list. Look at his art and you can see why.
