Fans are going to be excited to see and maybe even get their mitts on the new prints Steranko created for conventions he’ll attend this year. The Batman art above is one of those. I love Steranko’s graphic design.
If you get a chance to meet Steranko, don’t sleep on it. The man is a natural storyteller. Plus, how often do you get to meet a legit legend?

The Forest Wind by Goran Parlov. I want more of this, please.

Any time new Steranko art surfaces, it is cause for a celebration. The Nick Fury piece above is one of the prints that Steranko will have at conventions this year. Now, let’s party!
Bruce Campbell teamed with Eduardo Risso to create SGT. ROCK VS the ARMY OF THE DEAD. Here’s the lowdown…
Berlin, 1944. The Nazis are besieged on all fronts by the Allied forces. Defeat is inevitable. But Hitler and his team of evil scientists attempt a last-ditch effort that may turn the tide of the war and rewrite history itself: a serum that resurrects their dead soldiers, stronger than they were in life, and sends them back into the battlefield.
Now Sgt. Frank Rock and Easy Company have been dispatched into enemy territory to face off against the strangest, most horrific enemies they’ve ever encountered: Nazi zombies!
Sgt. Rock and Easy Company are behind enemy lines, armed to the teeth, and ready to go up against the strangest-and deadliest-enemies they’ve ever encountered: zombies, and a whole lot of ’em! Strap in, soldiers, it’s you against the world…of the dead!
Horror icon Bruce Campbell and comics legend Eduardo Risso bring you a terror-soaked Sgt. Rock tale like no other!
Collects DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead #1-6.

It’s no secret I’m a sucker for a great crime/noir/detective story. Steranko wrote and drew one of my favorites: Chandler: Red Tide. A remastered version has been rumored for years. Perhaps one day we’ll get it. Until then I have my original copy to keep me happy.
Richard Stark’s Parker The Complete Collection by Dawyn Cooke gets my highest rating. If you’re a fan of great crime fiction, then this is for you!
The groundbreaking and multiple award-winning graphic novels by Darwyn Cooke, collected in their entirety for the first time in one softcover volume.
Collecting the four Parker graphic novels (The Hunter, The Outfit, The Score, and Slayground) as well as two shorts (The Man with the Getaway Face and The Seventh). These stories encompass all Darwyn Cooke’s sequential stories of Parker.
American comic book fans probably know Goran Parlov for his work with the Punisher character. I love Parlov’s art and this is my favorite piece by him. You can see more of Goran Parlov’s art here.
THAT is one fine Wolverine drawin’ by Mike Deodato.
Deodato gets that Wolverine is short, thick, muscular, and hairy. Wolverine is the best at what he does and what he does isn’t very nice.
Bravo!
If you’d like to see more of Mike Deodato’s art, you can at his Instagram page.

It would be tough to find a more iconic Batman piece than the one above by Enrico Marini. You’ve got Batman on the Bat Signal surrounded by bats with Gotham City in the background.
Well played, Enrico Marini! (On another note, I am looking forward to Marini’s Noir Burlesque which comes out next month!)

Werewolf by Night was a surprise hit. Just as cool is JK Woodward’s inkwash art featuring the character… and if you look in the background you might find a guest appearance of another Marvel comics horror character! You can see more of Woodward’s art on his Twitter stream.
This may be my favorite piece of Alex Ross art ever. You can see more of Alex Ross’ art at his website or by following him on Twitter.

The LEAD CITY graphic novel by Eric Borden and Kyle Brummond comes out today. I bought LEAD CITY when it was first on Kickstarter. If you didn’t, here is your chance to get the complete series in a single trade paperback. The synopsis from the publisher…
A farmer enters a deadly gunfighter competition in order to save his family.
Doesn’t exactly make you want to shell out your hard-earned cash, does it? That’s too bad, because LEAD CITY is a fun story with cool art. Let’s try the write-up from Kickstarter. If LEAD CITY sounds like something you’d like, you know what to do.

Marv from Frank Miller’s Sin City is a character I love seeing drawn by different artists. The one above was created by Richard Pace. You can see more of Pace’s art here.
