Panacea Cryonics offered its customers life after death by keeping their heads frozen until the day technology could rebuild them, free of disease and death. However, as these everyday people from the past are revived, they’re not handed the keys to a new life, but a gun, body armor and an ultimatum. They must fight in a war against unknown opponents for unknown reasons, to secure their place in a brave new world that doesn’t want them around.

As far as I’m concerned Mike Zeck draws the definitive Punisher. But if Zeck’s not drawing Frank Castle, then Goran Parlov is an excellent choice! Check out Parlov’s riffs on the Punisher (and bigger versions to boot) here at The Bristol Board.

One of my favorite artists, Sean Phillips, painted a poster for one of my favorite movies, Night of the Living Dead.
How could it get better than that? Well, Sean Phillips could post up a bigger version of the painting and some prelim sketches.
Wow. The double page spread /cover by Ed Hannigan and my best bud, John Beatty really takes me back. The art was to be the wraparound cover for Omniverse #3, a fanzine published by Mark Gruenwald. Sadly, the issue never saw print, but you can see it larger as well as a colored version by clicking over to The Bristol Board.

Batman vs Elmer Fudd.
Sounds stupid, right? No way in the world this could be an excellent comic book, right?
Wrong. Way wrong.
Written by Tom King with art by Lee Weeks, Batman vs Elmer Fudd is an amazingly good comic. Since it sold out of it’s initial print run, if you want to get a copy you’re probably out of luck. However comics legend Neal Adams has created a video homage that is worth a watch.
I’m not a fan of Blade but think that Blade 2 is excellent. Eliud Rivera has created an alternative Blade 2 poster that would have made a worthy poster for the theatrical release.
If you’ve never seen Barry Windsor Smith’s Tupenny Conan Portfolio, you’re in for a treat. Even if you have seen it, you may want to click over to feast your eyes on seven pieces of art by the person many folks consider to be the premier Conan artist, Barry Windsor Smith.

Dan Panosian recently sat down (or perhaps he stood up) for an interview with Adventures in Poor Taste to talk about his new series Slots.
I’ve always enjoyed Panosian’s art and he’s a great guy so there’s that. In the interview I discovered that Dan’s a fan of the film Killing Them Softly. I thought I was the only one. So there’s another reason to like Dan. If you check out the interview, I’ll bet you’ll find a couple for yourself.
This shot of David Harbour as Hellboy is making the rounds because of how well it looks to capture Mignola’s Hellboy.
Some folks are upset that Ron Perlman and Guillermo del Toro won’t be coming back to complete their Hellboy trilogy. I was disappointed as well, but that won’t stop me from seeing Neil Marshall’s darker, rated-R version.
I’ve also seen complaints that Harbour’s Hellboy looks like Perlman’s Hellboy. Ok. Let’s think about that for a second. They’re both playing the same character, so shouldn’t they look similar?
I’m a fan of Perlman and Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy and hope to be of Marshall & Harbour’s Hellboy as well.
